January 3, 2004

At 12:25 PM the meeting was called to order by President Larry Smith, 10 members were in attendance: Larry Smith, Roy Sees, Don Weidner, Don Tanner, Keith Green, Ed Beikirch, Gary Church, Joe Blosser, Frank Purcell and Mark Lemon.

Mark Lemon read the secretary’s report and the members accepted it. Frank Purcell read the treasurer’s report and the members accepted it.

Frank stated the two drums of fuel had been ordered. Roy reminded the members to bring their empty containers for fuel because they only had a few in the building.

Larry discussed with the members the cost of the Christmas Party and the attempt to recover some the expenses from the management of Stoney Creek. Roy stated he would donate the door prizes for the Christmas party that he had purchased.

Larry mentioned that some members hadn’t paid their AMA dues and as a reminder all AMA dues must be paid before flying at the field. A current list is located in the club trailer.

Larry and Doug are working on getting the Newsletter out to all members as soon as possible. They want to know from each member how they wish to receive this information, e-mail, mail, or both.

Larry reminded members that we still need input on the minimal criteria for dues reduction. Some of the ideas from the members attending this meeting were; attending meetings, mowing, helping with events, and helping with improvements, point system and logbook for these duties.

Larry suggested getting a memorial plaque for the Jim Ramsey, that would be placed at the field. He suggested renaming the spring fly in. All members attending agreed. He asked for thoughts and suggestions on what the new name could be.

Larry will be talking to other clubs to get ideas on what works for them at their fly ins.

Keith Green again stated he would do the improvements on the trailer that is used to haul the mowers.

Meeting adjourned.

Respectfully submitted,

Mark Lemon
